Connecting Snapchat Pixel
The Snapchat Pixel is a tracking tool that measures the impact of your Snapchat ads and lets you retarget people who visited your store. Once you paste a single ID, Zimam automatically starts sending browsing and purchase events from your store to Snapchat.
Where to find it
- From your dashboard, open the Pixels & Tracking section.
- Click the Snapchat Pixel card.
Connecting the pixel
- Pixel Name (optional): an internal label to help you recognize this pixel, e.g. "Main Store" — it has no effect on tracking itself.
- Pixel ID: paste the pixel ID from your Snapchat Ads account. The ID looks like
XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX. - Click Save Pixel Settings.
On success you'll see "Pixel settings saved successfully." If saving fails (for example a connection issue), you'll be asked to check your connection and try again.
What it tracks
Once the ID is connected, your storefront pages automatically send these events to Snapchat:
- Page view — on every storefront page load.
- Product view — when a specific product page is opened.
- Add to cart — when a product is added to the cart.
- Start checkout — when a customer reaches the checkout page.
- Purchase — when an order is confirmed.
Good to know
- To verify the pixel is firing correctly on your store, install the Snap Pixel Helper Chrome extension (a download link is available at the top of the setup screen).
- If you've set a Snapchat pixel ID specifically for a landing page from the landing page builder, that page's ID overrides the store's general pixel ID only while that page is shown.
