Promotions
Zimam lets you create promotion campaigns — percentage discounts on specific products that run automatically over a date range you set. Customers never enter a discount code; once a campaign is active, the discounted price simply shows up on the product's page in your store.
Getting to Promotions
- From the dashboard, open the Apps & Integrations section.
- Find the Promotion App card and click it.
- If your current plan doesn't include this feature, the card appears locked with a "Not included in current plan" note, and clicking it takes you to the Plans page to upgrade.
Creating a new promotion campaign
From the Promotion Campaigns page, click New Campaign and fill in the form:
- Campaign name — a name to identify the campaign by (e.g. "Summer Sale"). Required.
- Discount percentage (%) — how much to discount the product's price by. Must be greater than 0 and less than 100.
- Start date & time and End date & time — set via a pop-up calendar with day and time pickers. The end date must be after the start date.
- Select products — a searchable checklist to pick the product(s) the discount applies to. At least one product must be selected.
- Click Save Campaign to create it.
If any field is invalid (empty name, discount out of range, no products selected, or an end date before the start date), an error message explains the problem and the campaign isn't saved.
Overlapping campaigns
A single product can't have more than one active campaign covering the same time window. If you try to create or activate a campaign whose dates overlap another active campaign on the same product, the save is rejected.
Campaign list and statuses
Each campaign in the list shows its name, discount percentage, date range, number of products included, and its status:
- Active — the campaign is enabled and the current time falls within its date range.
- Scheduled — the campaign is enabled but its start date hasn't arrived yet.
- Paused — the campaign has been manually turned off, regardless of its date range.
- Expired — the campaign's date range has passed.
You can pause or reactivate a campaign at any time using the toggle switch next to it in the list, without opening the edit form.
Editing and archiving a campaign
- Click the pencil icon next to any campaign to open it in the edit form and change any of its fields, then click Update Campaign.
- Click the archive icon to permanently remove the campaign from the list; you'll be asked to confirm first, and archiving can't be undone.
How the discount is applied for customers
The discount is automatic, not a code the customer enters. Whenever a promotion campaign is active on a given product (the current time is within the campaign's window and it's turned on), the storefront shows the discounted price directly on the product's page, with the original price shown crossed out next to it. Once the campaign's window ends or it's paused, the original price returns automatically — no further action needed on your part.
