Credits and balance
Credits are your store's prepaid balance. They pay for PAYG orders, orders beyond your plan's monthly allowance, AI features, feature packs and WhatsApp confirmation messages. The balance never goes below zero: an action that costs more than you have is refused.
Open Balance in the dashboard sidebar. The sidebar item also shows your current balance.
What the Balance page shows
- Current Balance, marked Low balance under 100 credits and Healthy otherwise.
- Totals: Earned, From subscription, Purchased and Spent this month.
- How credits are used: the credit price of each paid action on your store's plan, such as Per order (PAYG) and AI product description. Only actions with a price appear.
- Recent transactions and the full Transaction history, with the credits and the balance after each movement.
- Credit packs you can buy.
Where credits come from
- Free trial credits: a new store on PAYG receives a starting balance, shown on the PAYG card in Plans. When the free trial ends, unused trial credits expire and the store receives 50 PAYG credits.
- Monthly subscription credits: paid plans add an allowance each month, shown on the plan card as monthly AI credits. Unused subscription credits expire at the end of the period and the allowance is granted again.
- Credit packs: credits you buy. Purchased credits do not expire.
- Top-ups and refunds: the Zimam team can add credits to your balance, and a refused WhatsApp message is refunded.
Buy credits
- Open Balance and click Charge credits, or scroll to Credit packs.
- If both are offered, choose Card payment (Stripe, in USD or EUR) or Local payment (in Algerian dinars, for stores whose country is Algeria).
- Click Buy on a pack and complete the payment.
Credits appear once the payment is confirmed.

When your balance runs low
- When your balance cannot cover about five more PAYG orders, Balance shows a warning to top up before your storefront is switched off.
- When your balance is empty, PAYG orders are refused and your storefront is switched off until you top up.
- On a paid plan past its monthly allowance, an order is refused when the balance cannot cover its 3 credits, and the storefront goes offline.
- When the storefront goes offline for lack of credits, you get a notification with your balance and the credits the next order needs.
Add credits and the storefront comes back online.
