AI Description Writer

The AI description writer writes a product's short description and detailed description for you, from the product details you have already entered. Each generation costs credits from your store's balance.

Before you start​

  • Your store needs the Starter, Growth, Pro or Enterprise plan. On PAYG, the card still appears in the product form, but generating is refused with Not included in your plan. See Subscription and billing.
  • Your balance must cover the Cost shown next to the card's title, in credits. If it does not, generating is refused with Insufficient credits and nothing is deducted. See Credits balance.

Generate a description​

  1. Open Products, then add a product or edit one.
  2. In Description & Media, find the AI description writer card.
  3. Fill in Product Name and choose a Category. Until both are set, Generate description stays disabled and the card shows "Add product name and category first."
  4. Optional: in Key selling points, write one benefit per line. The first 10 lines are used.
  5. Click Generate description.
  6. Review the Generated copy: a Short description, a Detailed description, and sometimes an SEO suggestion.
  7. Click Apply copy, or Replace current copy if the product already has a description.
  8. Click Save Product to keep the result.

What the writer uses​

Besides the name, category and selling points, the writer receives:

  • the Price and Old Price, if you entered them;
  • the current short and detailed descriptions, if any, so it can improve them;
  • up to 5 of the product's images and description images. Images you have not saved yet are uploaded when you click Generate description. If an upload fails, the card asks you to check the failed images and try again.

The text is written in your storefront's language.

Cost​

The credits shown on the card are deducted after each successful generation, whether or not you apply the text. Generating twice costs twice. A failed generation costs nothing.

Good to know​

  • Applying replaces the Short Description and Description fields in the open form. To go back, edit them by hand or leave the form without saving.
  • The SEO suggestion is shown for reference only. Applying does not copy it anywhere.
  • The card is disabled while the product is saving.
